EVERYBEAN café FOR ALL
BACKGROUND
EVERYBEAN, which serves people of all incomes, from none to high, raises money and awareness for local home and food-insecurity resources, and encourages conversation. "Share a coffee or bagel” notes are available for $1 at the register, and stuck on the wall after purchase. Those who are in need can take a note off the wall and redeem it for a coffee or bagel. Table signs are able to be flipped to purple “feel free to join me and chat or play a game”, yellow “feel free to join me, but I will be working/reading”, or red “I would rather sit by myself today”. Just by having these signs, it will create a culture of inclusion and normalize the idea of sitting with others.
RESULTS
The color palette consists of 5 bright colors: blue for dependability, red-orange for taking action, purple for creativity, yellow for optimism and pink for love. A majority of the identity is type-focused and minimalistic, with some imagery introduced for advertising. For packaging, I use swirling lines of type with simple ideas of how to help others. These extend off the package to represent the never-ending list of ways we can spread kindness. The look is simple and sweet like the ideas themselves. I use the different bright colors
of the identity to create to-go packaging that will stand out wherever the customer takes it, making a bold statement of support for humanitarianism.
